AI Usage Policy

Last updated: April 3, 2026

This is how to use AI responsibly on VideoDuck. We use third-party AI providers to generate videos, images, and stories from your prompts. This policy explains what's allowed, what isn't, and what you're responsible for.

1. How AI Works on VideoDuck

When you generate content, VideoDuck sends your prompt and generation parameters (model choice, resolution, style) to a third-party AI provider. The provider generates the content and returns it to your workspace.

Available providers include Runway, Kling, Veo, Minimax, Luma, and Pika. The provider used depends on the model you select in your workspace or during creation.

We never send your personal data, YouTube analytics, or account information to AI providers. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

2. What You Can Create

You can use VideoDuck to generate content for personal or commercial use, including social media posts, marketing materials, educational content, and entertainment.

Your creative direction settings (voice, tone, style, characters) guide every generation, giving you consistent results aligned with your brand.

3. What You Cannot Create

The following uses of AI on VideoDuck are strictly prohibited. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.

Harmful content

  • Violence, gore, or content promoting self-harm. — e.g., graphic injury tutorials
  • Hate speech targeting individuals or groups.
  • Sexually explicit content, especially involving minors.
  • Content that promotes illegal activities.

Deceptive content

  • Deepfakes or impersonation of real people without their consent. — e.g., putting words in a public figure's mouth
  • Misleading content designed to spread misinformation. — e.g., fake news reports, fabricated events
  • Fake reviews, testimonials, or endorsements.

Copyright and IP violations

  • Prompts designed to reproduce copyrighted characters, logos, or brands. — e.g., generating Disney characters
  • Content that infringes on trademarks or intellectual property.
  • Reproducing someone else's creative work without permission.

Platform abuse

  • Mass-generating low-quality or spam content. — e.g., flooding YouTube with SEO-bait videos
  • Circumventing content moderation or generation limits.
  • Using automated tools to exploit the platform without permission.

4. Your Responsibility

You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before publishing.

AI-generated content can be inaccurate, biased, or unexpected. Before you publish:

  • Review the content for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Check that it doesn't violate any platform's community guidelines.
  • Ensure it represents your brand the way you intend.
  • Consider whether viewers could be misled into thinking AI content is real footage.

VideoDuck provides the tools — you make the publishing decisions. We are not liable for consequences of content you choose to publish.

5. Content Moderation

Third-party AI providers enforce their own content policies. Some prompts may be rejected by the provider if they violate moderation rules. This is outside VideoDuck's control.

If your generation is rejected, try rephrasing your prompt. If you believe a rejection was made in error, contact us.

6. AI Limitations

AI-generated content has inherent limitations you should be aware of:

  • Not always accurate — AI can produce factual errors, hallucinations, or inconsistencies.
  • Not exclusive — similar prompts from different users may produce similar outputs.
  • Not deterministic — the same prompt can produce different results each time.
  • Subject to change — AI models are updated by providers, which may affect output quality and style.

7. Enforcement

We take violations seriously. If we determine that you've violated this policy, we may:

  • Remove content — delete specific generations that violate our policy.
  • Restrict access — temporarily limit your generation capabilities.
  • Suspend your account — disable access for serious or repeated violations.
  • Terminate your account — permanently ban accounts involved in severe or illegal misuse.

We may act on reports from users, AI providers, or our own monitoring. If you believe an action was taken in error, contact us at support@videoduck.ai.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as AI capabilities and regulations evolve. Changes are posted on this page with an updated date. For material changes, we'll notify you by email.
